Evangelism

Jesus entire objective was to elect men who could observe His life and convey His work after He returned to His Father. He dedicated most of His remaining life on earth to His disciples to make certain that they truly understood the “whole ministry” they would have to embrace and execute. What I love about this entire situation is that Jesus elected men who were not in prominent places in the synagogue or belonged to the Levitical priesthood. You could say that they were ordinary men who were selected by the Jesus to become extraordinary men. Jesus selected the men He would teach and eventually would become leaders for the Kingdom. He taught His disciples how to become great men through His teaching as well as through His actions.
As it relates to today’s world, the church’s role is to ensure the appropriate steps are established for evangelism. When you look at some churches today, it appears they are more concerned about what is going on within the interior walls, instead of the exterior, which gives the perception or maybe the truth that they are not concerned with the role of evangelism. However, when you consider Jesus is coming back for His bride (church), the church most definitely needs to reflect Him. Consider this: The church must continue to go out into the world and equip its people to witness the “gospel” to others. The Great Commission (Matt. 28: 16-20) gives us requirements we must follow to demonstrate our love for our Lord and Savior.
