The DREAM!

About a month ago, I had a dream that deeply troubled me. It began as an ordinary day. I was spending time with some fraternity brothers. There were several events happening in the city, but we decided not to participate in any of them. As we were driving down the street, we suddenly heard an enormous “BOOM” unlike anything I had ever heard before. Without warning, the sky began to crack in multiple places. Overwhelmed, I dropped to my knees on the floorboard of the front passenger seat and began praying fervently to the Lord. After what felt like only a few minutes, I sat up and looked towards the sky. I saw the back of Jesus ascending. I knew it was Him. I cannot explain it, but when you know, YOU KNOW! As He slowly vanished into the sky, I heard the words, “This is a warning!” It was not yet the time, but the time is coming. People began pouring out of buildings and cars talking among themselves about what they had just witnessed. Although it was not the end of the world, the devastation left behind was chilling. The aftermath looked like a war zone. Like the Word states, He will appear like a thief in the night.

Lord, have mercy!

Church, we must be ready! Make sure your relationship with God is secure. Be certain that your connection with Christ is genuine, and not a performance or something done for appearances. Gospel of Matthew (KJV) 7:22–23 says: “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” This passage speaks of people who believed they were right with God but were living in deception. Their outward works appeared righteous, yet their relationship with Christ was never authentic. Imagine professing salvation for years, believing your relationship with Him is secure, only to hear the words, “Depart from Me, I never knew you!” That would mean the relationship never truly existed at all.

What we want to here is: Well done, good and faithful servant… (Matthew 25:23)

Hallelujah!

Scriptures:

Matthew 24:36 (KJV)

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”

Matthew 24:43 (NIV)

“But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.”

John 3:16 (KJV)

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Acts 2:36-39 (KJV)

“Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”

1Thessolonians 5:2 (KJV)

“For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.”
