"Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass." Psalm 37:7 KJV

"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31 KJV

In our human nature, we often find it easy to wait when the delay is short and the outcome seems within reach. But when waiting extends into seasons, and hope appears distant, the soul begins to grow restless. Yet the Word of God gently calls us to a deeper posture: “Rest in the Lord.” This is not a passive rest, but an active surrender placing our full confidence in His wisdom, His timing, and His unfailing love.

The Lord's timetable is not governed by earthly clocks or calendars. His delays are not denials, and His silence is not absence. The divine timing of God is precise never early, never late, but always perfect. So, as we wait, let us not grow weary. Instead, let our hope anchor deeply in His faithfulness.

To wait on the Lord is to declare with every fiber of our being: "Lord, I trust You more than I trust what I see." Waiting becomes an altar where our faith is refined, our trust is tested, and our hearts are made steadfast. In the waiting, God is not idle. He is moving behind the scenes, shaping outcomes, preparing blessings, and most importantly, shaping us.

And while it may seem that others around us are prospering swiftly even those who do not walk in righteousness, we must not envy their path. What they gain quickly may not endure. But what God prepares through seasons of waiting is eternal, rich, and complete.

Hebrews 11:6 KJV reminds us: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Therefore, waiting is not wasted time, it is an act of worship, a declaration of diligence in seeking Him.

Therefore, remain prayerful. Be watchful. Stay grounded in God’s Word. Let your heart be at rest, knowing that when God moves, it will be beyond anything you imagined. You will soar like eagles, rise above every delay, and walk in the fullness of what He has prepared and promised.

Trust the process. Embrace the wait. God’s timing is always right and always worth it.
