In the World Yet Set Apart

As followers of Christ, although we live in this world, we are not part of it. We are disconnected to reflect His love, truth, and holiness. This does not mean we separate ourselves from people; it means our hearts, values, and purpose are no longer shaped by the world but by Christ.
What does it mean to be disconnected? It means that through repentance and faith in Christ, our identity is transformed. We are no longer defined by our past, our errors, or the world's standards. We now belong to Christ. He has chosen us and He has invited us to walk with Him righteously.
Consider this, there may be times when following Christ causes us to feel different based on what the world considers normal. Yet we can find comfort in knowing that He has prepared us for this truth: "If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you"(John 15:19 KJV).
Today, remember that our highest uniqueness is not found tailoring into the world but in belonging to Christ. Walk boldly in His calling, knowing that the One who chose us will also strengthen, guide, and sustain us through life challenges.
